Silent writer, Malgaokar

Manohar Malgaokar, who died recently was one of few proficient Indian writers in English. He was breathed his last in his home in the jungle village of Jagalbet in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka State. He left behind a trail of memories among the lovers of Indian writers in English.
Being a multi-faceted personality, he was involved in various activities. He was not only a writer, but also a great wildlife lover, an environmentalist, a crusader, a historian, a soldier in the army, an essayist, a game hunter, a mine owner and a civil servant. He epitomized the rural life in his novels as he spent whole his life after he completed his services in the
deep jungle as a security guard to protect the rich flora and fauna.
The author of acclaimed novels like 'A Bend in the Ganges'' that depicted life in the times of violent partition period and 'The Distant Drum' that gave an 'imprint' of the Indian Army during the days of the British Raj, has left a memory that is undiminishable among the minds and heart of his readership. Most of Malgaokar's activities were concentrated during the momentous times of Indian history before Independence and soon after it. The socio-economic milieu of those times form the backdrop of his novels which are usually of adventure and action, probably reflecting someway his own life.
Born rich, he was never attracted by the city culture though most of his education was in Mumbai. His experience as the
Lieutenant Colonel in Maratha Light Infantry during the second World War had given him rich knowledge and an impetus to write novels.
This seemed to be the reason why he wrote his first novel 'Distant Drum', at the age of 47, narrating the life of a soldier on the
battlefield and the spirit of the Indian warrior. He dealt with freedom struggle and pains of split in his novel 'A Bend in the Ganges'. It was 'The Prince' that brought him name and fame. Malgaokar's novels 'Combat of Shadow', 'Devils Wind', 'The Men Who killed Gandhi' were widely read by the readers all over the world. His 'Men in Uniform' was one of the best writings, apart from 'Chatraptis of Kolhapur'.
He also wrote a number of essays and contributed to various newspapers as long as he was able to write. Even at the age of 98
his vast reading habit was reflected in the rich library in his gorgeous bungalow in Jagalbet.
After losing his wife, Manorama, he continued to live in his solitary village house alone like a saint and continued his study of literature and forests. His love for social feelings was also deep. He never forgot 'down to earth' people. He was man who never aspired for publicity and preferred to live a solitary life. However, he never forgot the common masses and never took to any white colored people.
This was the reason why he is called the ''silent writer'' but very popular. After the demise of his wife, books and writings
were his only companions. Even then, he led a ''royal life'' in the deep villages of woods.

Way to Your top Choice School

With hundreds of thousands of applications receiving each year by colleges, and universities you may not get a chance to face a personal interview to present yourself as a complete package. But, you have a good chance to present yourself through your admission essay. Your college admission essay is the best way to your top choice school. Use this chance to highlight your true potential, and experience. It is your personal tool which allows you to distinguish yourself from the hundreds of thousands of other applicants with similar score and background.
A poorly executed essay may be resulted in rejection from the school administration. On the other hand, well written exceptional essay can help students with marginal scores get into the schools of their dreams.
The most engaging and compelling essay tells a story and have a clear focus. Writing should reveal student's passions and expose their personality. A clear narration of a difficult time in your past life tells far more about you than a list of competitions won and honors achieved. When you finish reading them, you will feel a tiny bit likes you met someone, maybe even someone you would like to meet again.
Just give a touch of humor to your essay. While it’s important to be thoughtful and mature, you do not want your college application essay to be too heavy. Try to lighten up the essay with a well-placed witticism, a clever metaphor, or a little self-deprecating humor. The essay that is filled with bad puns or off-color jokes will often end in the rejection pile. Overall tone of your essay is also very important. Take much care to balance your pride in your achievements with humility towards others.

Profit is important than ethics in business

Good business and turnover is very important for any company to make it success. Being a president of the firm he/she should took a good decision as his/her main responsibility is to promote the business. In a business profit is more important rather than ethics.
Here is one example. Marry had a graduation in general business, but she got job in accounts department. She used her father's influence to get the job in a firm. Watson, president of the firm gave her a job and paid high salary which didn't match her caliber. He hoped that his action would lead to future business from her father's company. Because, her father David, who is executive vice president of a firm purchased many of his firm's supplies from Watson's company. But she was irresponsible, and developed a pattern of coming late to the office, taking long lunch breaks, and leaving early. When a difficult job was assigned to her, she got one of the other employees to do it, implying that Watson would be pleased with that person if he or she helped her. When the department manager attempted to reprimand her, Marry would bring up the close relationship that her father had with the president of the firm. So manager was helpless. Watson had hired her because he hoped that his action would lead to future business from her father's company. So he didn't bother about her educational back ground, or caliber at the time of recruitment, and also shows generosity while paying her.

Restaurants demanding skilled labor force

Hotels and restaurants are of utmost importance for the nation's economy. Sector is a highly labor intensive service, and needs laborers in large number. A large part of the sector is closely
linked to the dynamics of the tourism economy. If we take it in terms of turnover, the sector accounts for more than 60% on tourist sector including both leisure tourism, and business travelling.
Restaurants, bars and cafes, Catering, and canteens are mainly the food service sectors and would
dominate both when it comes to employment and turnover. Customers/clients' base is depends on many factors like, quality, service, location of the establishments. For example, there are hotels
that people visit for the sake of their services, e.g., a reputable restaurant that cooks food from a locally-owned farm, whereas other hotels are popular because of the geographical location, e.g., at the
town center.
The Hotels and restaurants sector are now facing labor related challenges along with competition from other entrepreneurs. Shortage of skilled laborers, increased awareness of healthy lifestyle,
individualization in customer demands, environmental concerns are some of the other problems which the sector is facing.
Developments in technology like usage of Internet, and mobile service plays important role in the growth of the sector. The internet has dramatically changed the way hotels and restaurants market their services. Online booking, both directly at a restaurant's or a hotel's homepage and through new online based travel agencies, is one foremost example of new trends influencing and changing the value chain in the sector.
Food cost has a direct impact on a restaurants' operating profit. Along with this payroll related expenses like salaries, wages, taxes, and fringe benefit, overhead expenses like advertising, utilities, maintenance, other supplies excluding food costs play major role on profitability of the business. However profitability and operational costs depend on size of the outlet, and vary from region to region.
Sector needs the long term strategic challenges of increasing innovation, skills, and competencies, which make out the ground pillar of the sector's future growth possibilities, and increased its competitiveness. For example, older tourists/customers ask for more services. Customers may demand for new and different types of experiences and services. The increased usage of outsourcing like cleaning, cooking and booking services, in the sector also adds to increased complexity and volume of value chains.
Along with traditional value based factors like wellness, fitness, and healthy food, some other factors like demographical factors, modern life-style, implementation and usage of new technologies play
important role in the success of the business.
Government regulations are not same in all over the world. It differs with region to region. To start hotel or a restaurant licenses from the departments of local administration, health, electricity, water
supply and sewage board is required. Maintaining cleanness is very important. Food should be protected from cross-contamination at all stages such as during storage, preparation, holding, and display.
Usually hotels have been rated based on luxury, quality of service, facilities provided like entertainment, view, room variations, additional amenities, spas and fitness centers and location.
Getting finance to start/run hotels and restaurants are very important. Financing/ refinancing climate is always challenging, but with the right approach may not be as negative as many envisage. One
should prepare a detailed forecast, with full supporting data while explaining the market demand and supply dynamics. Refinancing is highly dependent on the performance of the property, the relationship with the bank, and that bank's particular view on lending to the hotel sector at present.
Usually, people do not cut down consuming or travelling, but they do it in alternative ways. Customers are somewhat concerned about comfort, safety, convenience, wellness and health issues. They may go for genuinely healthy lifestyles and holidays and seek more luxury and values. Multinational hotel and restaurant chains offering healthy and sustainable convenience will experience growth. But, in future the sector will experience a rapid increase in the demand for highly skilled labor.

'DABANGG', paisa vasool for Salman fans

Cast: Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonu Sood

Director: Abhinav Kashyap

Producer: Arbaaz Khan

The clash between good and bad is not a new subject for bollywood. Infact, many films based on the same subject hit the screen in the late 1970's succeed in box office. We can recall the scene of serpentine queues, and mad scramble to book tickets outside cinema halls where these types of masala films were screened. We cannot forget the fact that the hardcore masala films were relished with glee by the audience then. But over a period of time, these masala films were disappeared from the memory of the cinema lovers.

Up course, one more add to this category is definitely DABANGG. Basically it is an action movie, and action lovers can get lot of entertainment. It is a tangy masala film meant for the masses. Story is not a new one, and is old wine in a new bottle.

Salman acted superbly, and his fans' would not get disappointed. He succeeds to relish enough entertainment to his fans. Film already created a mass hysteria whiles crushing old records and setting new benchmarks at the box-office. Film has the Blockbuster wrote all over it. Salman Khan played the lead role of corrupt but good-hearted Chulbul Pandey. The whole film stands on three pillars. First one is salman's star power, second one is smashing stunts, and the third one is super music.

Story of the film is about a police inspector's fight for justice in his own corrupt manner. Story also tells about harps on the age-old mother-son and varied relationships. Chulbul is a fearless and corrupt police officer. He is working in his own unorthodox style. His childhood was little bitter. His father passed away when Pandey was very young. After that his mother married Prajapati Pandey. Dimple Kapadia acted in the role of his mother, where as Vinod Khanna is in the role of Prajapathi Pandey. Makhanchan is Chulbul's half-brother who born to Prajapathi and Chulbul's mother.

Chulbul decided to detach himself from his step-father and half-brother, when Prajapati favors Makhanchan which Chulbul does not like. Ultimately after his mother's demise that was his sole attachment, Chulbul snaps all ties with his family.

But when Rajo, role played by Sonakshi Sinha enters his life, Chulbul starts to see life more positively. He gets sensitized to the value of a family. But his detractors have their own vested interests, and try to spoil his life whiles putting one brother against the other. And, they used Makhanchan against Chulbul to carry out their own vested interests. When Makhanchan realizes the intention of the detractors, he turns to Chulbul.

We have seen so many similar stories in the past, but this film shines because of Salman's star power. The role gives him good opportunity to prove his star power, and he does it well. Salman's introduction and climax will send the masses in frenzy. S. Vijayan's stunts are superb. In music, Sajid-Wajid comes up with a melodious score. The title track, 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain' and 'Munni', which is composed by Lalit Pandit are the plus point. Action scenes are outstanding. Up course, finale fight, and the climax is one prime reason for repeat viewing.

Mahesh Limaye's cinematography and editing by Pranav V. Dhiwar are perfect. Dialogues delivered by Salman Khan is greeting by fans with claps and whistles. Especially for the dialogue, 'Itne chhed karunga', fans become frenzy.

Heroine Sonakshi Sinha looks fresh, acts confidently and pairs off very well with Salman. She delivers the right expressions. Actions of supporting cast Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Anupam Kher, Om Puri are superb.

Salman at his 44 manages to create awesome onscreen chemistry with Sonakshi, who is almost half his age. He manages to pack in the punch, and delivers a power packed performance and goes all out to indulge his fans. As a whole DABANGG is an entertaining movie, and spectators gets enough entertainment for what they paid.

Business environment analysis mainly involves four things.
• First and foremost thing is to be aware of current industry trends and customer spending habits.
• Next thing is the identification of our target market, the market niche to which our concept appeals.
• Third one is comparison of the customer base for the chosen location with the target market.
• Finally, identification of the local competition that may contend for the same customer base.

Look at targeted group for the proposed business, and draw comparisons between market conditions for the selected location. List the surrounding neighborhoods, points of interest, and the area of businesses. For demographic and other information about a specific market that is better to contact the local chamber of commerce, or the census bureau of the concerned country. Detailed information can also get from the concerned web sites. Research for the local competition in terms of proximity and similarities are an important factor when estimating the market share.

Teachers are the strength of the sainik schools

They are fully residential schools, and run on the lines of public schools. They provide all facilities for overall personality development of the students. NCC is compulsory up to class-XII. Medium of instruction is English, and they offer a common CBSE curriculum. But, English is not a pre-requisite for admission.

Sainik Schools are supported by central and state funding and committed to bring public school education to the common man and function as feeder institutions to the national defense academy. They are financially self sustaining institutions and collect fees from the students to meet their expenditure. Usually these designed for 525 students spread over from class-VI to XII. However strength of students may vary.

In most of the States sainik Schools are located in isolated areas. A campus life is totally free from linguistic, communal and social bias and is well insulated from the sordid strife and discord which bedevils student life outside. Restaurant is a good business

When you think of starting a business, look at opening a restaurant or hotel as running a restaurant is a good business for new entrants. Most franchises in the food industry are seeming successful and in turn growing in numbers and popularity.
Food is an essential thing for everyone, and restaurants that serve delicious food can get popular within a very short span of time. Most of the people think that restaurant owners are people of high society that also comes with a touch of glamour. Usually people are eager to eat something at restaurants when they are hungry and away from home which is a major advantage for any startup company. Getting finance for a food operation business is easy as banks feel more comfortable approving the loans.
But, like other business, choosing a good location is more critical for opening a restaurant. So prospective investors should look at site selection very carefully before starting business. Restaurants, and hotels are easily vulnerable to fire accidents. So care should be taken about it before starting a restaurant business.
One more important thing about restaurant is maintaining cleanness as the health of the customers should be cared most. One should have made proper plan about waste disposal, sanitation, ventilation and ceiling for his restaurant.
